Health

"The Health and Safety of our colleagues and contractors working in our plants is of utmost importance to the management." Davinder Chugh, GMB Member

In 2008, ArcelorMittal and the European Metalworkers' Federation, the United Steelworkers and the International Metalworkers' Federation, signed a groundbreaking Global Agreement on Occupational Health and Safety. These standards include the commitment to form joint management/union Health and Safety committees as well as training and education programs in order to make a meaningful impact on overall Health and Safety performance. This agreement, and the work that has been done ever since, demonstrates our commitment to operating in a responsible way with respect to the health, safety and the well-being of our employees, contractors and the communities in which we operate.
