One incredible thing about working for a global company like ArcelorMittal is how international we are! Despite language barriers and our huge geographical reach - and even in such difficult times as the current economic environment - there is one thing we can all agree on; we like to eat!


In September of 2008, we launched a new initiative - our ‘glocalised' publications - entitled 1. With this new format, every ArcelorMittal local magazine has both global as well as local content, in a uniform format and in the local language. The result? Wherever you are in the world, if you pick up an ArcelorMittal local publication, you will recognise it by its look and feel.


At the time of launching the 1 magazine initiative, we thought it would be a good idea to put out a request in the many local publications for ‘ArcelorMittalien' recipes. And although a few of our colleagues found such an exercise a bit silly, we have to say the majority of people either told us they loved the idea and/or sent us in their favourite recipes.


So here today, the moment all you budding chefs have been waiting for - version 1 of Cooking with boldness!


The recipes came to us in all sorts of languages, but this only shows how international we truly are in this Company! Our plan is to make this cookbook a global project with our colleagues and in volume 2, we can start including the translations as well. So why not get involved?


Here is what we are asking:
