We provide steel combining high yield strength with excellent toughness at low temperatures and outstanding weldability. We offer the following additional features, customised to your requirement and application, upon request:
- Delivery condition – normalized / TMCP/ as rolled
- Fully killed & fine grained
- Improved deformation properties in through thickness direct with respect to the resistance to lamellar tearing (Z qualities)
- Ultrasonic testing, radiographic testing, magnetic particular inspection
- Low carbon (0.02 lower than norm), low sulphur (max. 0.006)
- CEV 0.43 / Pcm 0.23 (excellent weldability, preheat not necessary)
- Yield / tensile ratio – norm or higher
- CVN @ 0 / -20 / -40°C achieving joules norm of higher, longitudinal or transverse direction
- Strain aged test
- Stress relief post weld heat treatment (PWHT)
- Pre-qualification (CTOD) @ -40°C, suitable for applications in arctic regions
- Hydrostatic test
