Shotcrete

State-of-the-art for shotcrete applications in most countries.

SFRS can be used in tunnelling, mining, for slope stabilization as well as for repair and strengthening. SFRS allows the use of both dry and wet shotcreting methods.

By choosing SFRS, the customer will benefit from numerous advantages:

  • Easy user-friendly handling / faster application
  • Substantial material savings
  • Less rebound and voids
  • Excellent ductility and durability
  • Safer working environment through the use of shotcreting robots.

Typical fibre dosage rates for shotcrete applications are between 25 and 50 kg/m³, depending on the fibre type and the required performance. Shotcrete fibres are generally shorter and thinner than other fibres.

ArcelorMittal proposes a full range of dosing equipment for adding the shotcrete fibres to the concrete and assists our customers various aptitude tests for characterizing the chosen SFRS.
