Undulated fibres – Tabix
Undulated fibres were among the first shapes developed for SFRC.

Undulated Tabix fibres from ArcelorMittal have been designed such from the point of view of amplitude and wave length that the workability is good for aspect ratios up to 45 and remains satisfactory for aspect ratios up to 60.
On the other hand, the undulated shape offers some interesting advantages like:
- An excellent shrinkage control.
- A slower loss of bearing capacity immediately after the initial cracking, then most of the other fibre types on the market.
- Higher pull-out resistance from the concrete matrix.
These features make Tabix fibres especially suited for jointless industrial floors and for structural applications. Tabix fibres need a well compacted medium- to high-strength concrete to develop their full performance.
ArcelorMittal Tabix fibres have lengths in the range of 35 to 60 mm, diameters from 0.9 to 1.3 mm and tensile wire strengths from 900 to 1450 MPa.
