Twincone – Total Anchorage fibres

The only total anchorage steel fibre available on the market today.

Twincone fibres are straight fibres with punched conical heads at their two extremities. Through these cones, the fibre is completely blocked in the concrete matrix and cannot slip out of the matrix unlike all other fibres, but will be stressed up to the material tensile strength.

Twincone fibres can be virtually used in any type of application; however their higher price level makes them especially suitable for premium applications, like structural solutions. An interesting application as well is precast concrete elements (or cast elements like walls in general) as due to the thicker ends it can be guaranteed that no fibres will show up on the surface.

Twincone fibres have a limited workability and the use of a powerful integration tool, like a blast machine, is highly recommended to guarantee a proper addition of the fibres into the concrete. In order to allow the fibre to develop her full capacities, low fibre dosage rates should not be considered. Minimum dosage rate will be 30 kg/m³, whereas the optimal performance is obtained with dosage rates between 40 and 50 kg/m³. All concrete grades can be used together with the Twincone shape as long as the concrete is well compacted.

ArcelorMittal Twincone fibres are today available in a single size.
