TAB-Structural™
The ArcelorMittal solution for industrial slabs on piles.
In countries where the soil bearing capacities for high loaded industrial floors are rather limited or where good and uniform soils become too expensive for industrial applications, the use of pile supported slabs becomes more and more popular.
While traditional reinforced slabs on piles are at least reinforced by two layers of welded mesh (including spacers and stirrups) requiring pumping of the concrete, TAB-Structural™ needs no pumping and no fabric installation, thus speeding up the job-site significantly. Pile grid can be up to 6 by 6 meters depending on the loading conditions.
A square pile grid is preferred to get an economic solution. For the same reason, the edge span should be reduced to about 60-70% of the regular span. Typical fibre dosage rates are from 40 to 50 kg/m³. Over 6 millions of square meters of reference surfaces are available today.
