Examples of Environmental Excellence
Voluntarily meeting standards
ArcelorMittal Steelton recently achieved ISO 14001 certification as a demonstration of its commitment to environmental excellence. An internationally recognized standard, ISO 14001 is not required for U.S. manufacturers. Instead, organizations adhere to it voluntarily by working to obtain certification, therefore acknowledging an effective environmental management system (EMS). A valid EMS involves superior compliance and adherence to independent standards regulating water and air emissions.
