  • Do I need to do something to be covered by the Automatic guarantee?
    No registration is needed and no paper guarantee is issued. The guarantee automatically comes into effect from the moment the product is shipped (shipment date of the Products or date they are made available to the Beneficiary).

 

  • What roof slope is covered by the Automatic guarantee?
    The slope of the roof has to be a minimum of 5% to be covered by the guarantee, or 7% if overlapping.

 

  • My building is naturally washed by rain. Do I need to do additional maintenance to benefit from the Automatic guarantee?
    No, you do not need to do additional maintenance to benefit from the Automatic guarantee.

 

 

  • Does the Automatic guarantee limit the choice of colours to be used on a building?
    No, the Automatic guarantee does not limit the choice of colours to be used on a building. Bearing in mind that colours can perform differently in specific environments, we recommend that you carefully study our colour chart selection.

 

  • An Italian client is erecting a building in Kiev. Does he benefit from the Automatic guarantee?
    Yes, ArcelorMittal’s Automatic guarantee applies where the building is actually located, from Brest to Moscow etc.

Granite® Automatic guarantee: outdoor applications as from 1 July 2008

The guarantees offered for an outdoor building project are an important factor in the final choice of the material to be used in that project.

 

The Granite® Automatic guarantee from ArcelorMittal Flat Carbon Europe, introduced on 1 July 2008, has three major improvements:

  

Coverage for new products

Three new products: Granite® Flex, Granite® Cloudy and Granite® Deep Mat, which are specifically designed for roofing applications, are fully covered under the Automatic guarantee as from 1 July 2008. The Granite® Automatic guarantee does not require any registration.

 

Better coverage for high added value products

Granite® HDS, PVDF and HDX – top-class products in terms of their technical performance – are covered by longer guarantees against corrosion and durability of aesthetic appearance due to the extensive experience ArcelorMittal Flat Carbon Europe has with these products.

 

Wider geographical cover extending into Eastern Europe

The Granite® Automatic guarantee covers all Eastern European countries and extends as far east as Moscow, without any distinction.

 

Key elements of the Granite® Automatic guarantee

 

The following products are covered by the Automatic guarantee: Granite® Standard, Granite® Flex, Granite® HD, Granite® Deep Mat, Granite® Cloudy, Granite® HDS, Granite® PVDF and Granite® HDX.

  • Automatic means that no paper guarantee is issued to the client. The guarantee applies automatically from the moment the product is delivered to the client.
  • Cut edges are covered by the Automatic guarantee for up to 10 years.
  • A guarantee of up to 30 years – against corrosion and non-peeling of the paint – can apply to the whole cladding.
  • The Automatic guarantee is not conditional upon mandatory annual maintenance inspections.
  • For roofing applications, the slope of the roof has to be a minimum of 5% and the guarantee is not dependent on roof orientation.
  • Freedom of part design is covered by the guarantee.
