ArcelorMittal Frýdek-Místek helps families affected by floods in Novy Jičín area

The officials of ArcelorMittal Frýdek-Místek presented on Wednesday 19 July a symbolic cheque worth of CZK 125.550 to the families from the community of Žilina u Nového Jičína that was hard hit by the floods.

“Immediately after the news on the enormous damages was posted we announced an internal flood collection among employees. We appreciated the initiative of our people very much. More than four hundred of them got engaged and CZK 75.000 were raised. The rollers of Frýdek-Místek showed again that they have heart in the right place and that they are not indifferent to the fates of those affected by the flood,” says HR Director, Rostislav Tkáč. The company added further CZK 50.000 to the money collected by employees. The total amount of CZK 125.550 will be divided among six families from the community of Žilina u Nového Jičína whom the floods destroyed their homes.
