Steel that is produced today, can later be recycled and reused to make new steel. This cycle can be repeated an infinite number of times. Thanks to its recyclability, the use of steel has made tremendous strides in the packaging industry. Indeed, the focus nowadays is no longer on the waste phase of packaging materials, but on their entire life cycle. Recycling steel at the end of its life cycle saves raw materials (iron ore) and energy during the production of new steel. This sustainability aspect has now become more important in the final assessment.
