ArcelorMittal Tailored Blanks Lorraine (France)

Brief history

Formed in 1997, the Lorraine facility began with the creation of Solblank France, a subsidiary of Usinor Group (steel producer). Solblank specialised in blanking and laser welding and has supplied Peugeot-Citroën, Audi, Renault, Ford, Daimler, Chrysler, GM VW, and Magna etc. In 2002, the merger of Usinor, Arbed and Aceralia gave birth to Arcelor Group.
Solblank first became Tailored Blank Lorraine and, in 2006, became Arcelor Tailored Blank Lorraine. With 2 blanking lines, 7 laser welding lines, 2 spot welding lines, Lorraine is the biggest of the AMTB Europe plants. It is located in the north-eastern part of France in the Lorraine region, close to the German border and therefore being ideally positioned to serve its main customers.

Lorraine is ISO TS-16949 V2002, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 certified.
