Port-Cartier, Québec, January 23, 2008 — François Pelletier, Québec Cartier’s President and Chief Executive Officer, announced a major restructuring of the Company’s management team. “The new management structure,” he stated, “will give Québec Cartier greater impetus in achieving its plans for development and performance enhancement, taking up the challenges associated with its integration into ArcelorMittal, and supporting ArcelorMittal in its thrust to develop its mining interests.”
Below are the highlights of the restructuring, which came into effect on January 23:
· Gaston Morin is now Vice President, Technology
· Alain Cauchon is now Vice President, Administration
· Jean Fortin is now Vice President, Mining Operations
· Serge Miller is now Vice President, Pellet Plants, Ports and Railways
· Michel Privé is now General Manager, Mont-Wright
· The position of General Manager, Pellet Plant and Port will remain vacant until further notice
· Hans H. Jacobsen, André La Flèche and Réjean Lefebvre have kept their current titles and duties. Thus, Mr. Jacobsen remains Vice President, Sales, Marketing and Corporate Planning; Mr. La Flèche remains Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer, and Mr. Lefebvre remains Vice President, Human Resources.
Gaston Morin, Vice President, Technology
Responsibility for asset reliability management and operational processes, the environment and sustainable development, quality assurance and information technology will be assumed by the new
Vice President, Administration. With those duties reassigned, Gaston Morin will have greater flexibility to focus on engineering projects and capital investment, as well as investment in R&D and mining operations planning. He will be relying on a strong team, including:
· Bruno Audet, Technology Manager, Mining Operations (formerly Crusher and Concentrator Manager), who will in turn be supported by Sylvain Descombes, Facilities and Shared Services Manager (formerly Mine Maintenance Manager).
· Éloi Godin, Project Manager, Expansion, Research and Development (formerly Project Manager)
· Oscar Roussy, Engineering Services Manager
· Pierre Savard, Long-Term Mining Operations Planning and Operational Research Manager, (formerly Information Systems and Operations Development Manager)
· A Handling and Pelletizing Technology Manager will soon be appointed to round off Gaston’s team.
Alain Cauchon, Vice President, Administration
In his new position, Alain Cauchon’s main responsibility is to manage asset reliability and operational processes, the environment and sustainable development, quality assurance, and information technology. He will also continue providing organizational development support for the Vice President, Human Resources. Alain will himself be supported by:
· Gilles Couture, Environment and Quality Manager
· Denis Moreau, Asset Reliability Maintenance Technology Manager, Mont-Wright (formerly Asset Reliability Coordinator, Mont-Wright)
· François Tanguay, Senior Organizational Development Counselor, Port-Cartier
· Pierre Tremblay, Organizational Development Manager, Mont-Wright
· A Corporate Director, Asset Reliability and Operational Process Management, as well as a Corporate Director, Information Technology, will soon complement Alain’s team.
In view of Alain’s new duties, some of his former responsibilities at Port-Cartier will now be handled by Réjean Lefebvre, Vice President, Human Resources. These responsibilities include the security and protection of facilities, training, human resources management, and all internal and external corporate communications. His former role of spokesperson for the Company has been entrusted to Martin Simard, Communications and Public Relations Manager (formerly Communications Manager).
Jean Fortin, Vice President, Mining Operations
Jean Fortin will assume responsibility for all QCM mining activities. He will be supported by the following team:
· Yves Montambeault, Mining Operations Manager, Fire Lake (formerly Logistics and Operation Manager, Fire Lake).
· Michel Privé, General Manager, Mont-Wright (formerly Operational Process Manager, Mont-Wright and Corporate Director, Maintenance Systems). In his new role, Michel will himself be supported by:
· Mathieu D’Amours, Mine Maintenance Manager, Mont-Wright (formerly Maintenance Manager)
· Denis Desaulniers, Workshop Maintenance Manager, Mont-Wright (formerly Services and Technology Manager)

· Nancy Guay, Crushing and Concentratrion Manager, Mont-Wright (formerly Area Manager II, Operations and Process).
Serge Miller, Vice President, Pellet Plants, Ports and Railways
Serge Miller is responsible for the overall running of the Company’s pelletizing, railway and port facilities. Though his former position of General Manager, Plant and Port – which he held until recently – has yet to be filled, Serge can rely on the support of:
· Allan LaBrie, Ore Handling and Port Manager, Port-Cartier
· Serge Michaud, General Manager, Railways
· Gérard Thibault, Pellet Plant Manager, Port-Cartier.
