We regard steady development of our surroundings as very important. Thus, all of our activities are carried out bearing in mind that responsible behaviour is not demonstrated only by high quality production and perfect services, though these are also very important, but mainly by responsibility and commitment towards our environs.

We are fully aware that we cannot rely merely on our own prosperity, as prosperity itself depends, amongst others, on the potential of the region: education, the environment and the living standard of its citizens. Therefore, we are ready to join the responsibility for good infrastructure, health care and education, i.e. the key areas for people’s welfare.

We realize that the Company’s activity entails a burden for the neighbouring municipalities and therefore, we try to redress the inconvenience, at least partly, by supporting local investment projects. Particularly in the Moravian-Silesian Region we support a range of activities, e.g. sports, cultural, educational or environmental projects.

Employees of ArcelorMittal Ostrava and its subsidiaries joined the efforts to battle the effects of floods in the North Moravia.
