ArcelorMittal France, the French steel filière
ArcelorMittal France is the steel filière which deals with the recycling of scrap issued from the household packaging waste in France. Within the company, the Recycling Department manages, for the Local Authorities, the collection, treatment and effective recycling of steel household packaging, issued from the selective sorting, composting and incineration.
To fulfil its mission, ArcelorMittal France has joined forces, from the start, with Adelphe and Eco-Emballages, state-approved organisations in charge of facilitating the removal and recycling of household packaging via contracts with Local Authorities and agreements with the materials sectors (paper, cardboard, plastic, glass, aluminium, steel).
CIEMRA (Centre for Information on Recycled Steel for packaging) is responsible for promoting information and communication tools.

Jetons bien, jetons propre !
ArcelorMittal France initiates various educational actions targeting recycling professionals, schoolchildren and the general public. A communication strategy which, for several years, has accompanied the increase in the recycling of steel household packaging in France. Now that new regulations in Europe are calling into question the collection systems, ArcelorMittal France has launched the operation "Jetons bien, jetons propre !" to remind people that packaging materials are recyclable. And that only eco-citizen behaviour will enable maximum recovery levels to be attained. |
