The Canossa-located steel service center shears steel coils into sheets for delivery to manufacturers of metal packaging, principally for foodstuffs but also for industrial purposes (aerosols, twist-off caps).

Equipped with 4 shear lines (3 lines for straight or scroll cuts and 1 line for scroll cuts) and two slitting line, with its 80 employees, the steel service center has a production capacity of 140 000 tonnes per year. With its upgraded equipment, it is the leading service center for tinplate in Italy.

The service senter was set up in 1998 and steel users are supplied with their steel requirements on a "just in time" basis, without having to worry about deadlines or storage costs. ArcelorMittal Ambalaj Çeligi currently delivers its products to a hundred customers in Turkey - ranging from important box manufacturers to small workshops - and it deals with roughly a hundred box producers in the neighboring countries.
