The Dispatch Advice is the support used for reception of the goods and also for verifying the supplier invoices. The customer usually enters the data on this document manually into his system at reception of the goods.
In order to simplify this task of manual input, ArcelorMittal FCE can send EDI Dispatch Advice message. In this way, the data will be automatically integrated in the customer’s system.
The customer will not only save time due to this service, but the risk of errors will also decrease. For ArcelorMittal FCE this service means an improvement of the operational efficiency.
ArcelorMittal FCE sends EDI Dispatch Advice messages, also called “DESADV” message, which contain almost all the data mentioned on the paper dispatch note.
This allows the customer to switch to a more simple input when goods are delivered to him. He just needs to input the reference number of the dispatch advice and all the other data will be integrated automatically in his system. This input can be totally erased through a system of scanning the labels of the delivered products.
Moreover, this transmission of information allows the customer to improve noticeably the management of his reception activity.
