Price evolution for sections in Q1-2013, December 12th 2012
To our valued customers,
ArcelorMittal Long Carbon Europe increases by 25€/t the applicable size extras for European sections sizes of categories 5, 6 and 7 (heavy size range), for all new orders booked for shipments January 1st, 2013, onwards.
The newly applicable size extras are published in enclosed price list dated 12.12.2012.

Sections prices announcement, November the 30th 2012
To our valued Customers,
Sales prices for sections have been continuously eroding over longer periods in 2012, whereas input costs including electricity, scrap and other raw materials continued on a merely unbroken upwards trend.
As a result, we have been facing a substantial margin squeeze all over 2012 on rising input costs and eroding product prices, which is bringing about a real necessity to work against this damaging trend.
Besides the recent scrap price developments, we are confronted with sustained cost increases at the beginning of 2013 including energy, salaries, logistics and other input costs calling for a major hike of our sales prices.
We also foresee an upturn in demand as inventory levels are low and there is a need for replenishment, which should also be supportive to major price increases in Q1-2013.
Against this background, ArcelorMittal Long Carbon Europe (AM-LCE) will increase European sections prices cat.1 reference to 650 €/t CPT (other categories accordingly in line with price structure) on all new orders for JANUARY production and shipment.
In view of the above, AM-LCE has already started to implement increases also for December production.
