ArcelorMittal

Beginning

Since its beginning in 1996 as Acería Compacta de Bizkaia, this electric mill located in the Biscay municipality of Sestao has focused its main activity on the production of hot rolled steel coils from scrap metal, pig iron and prereduced ores.

In 2001 ACB was integrated into the Arcelor Group; in 2003, our plant doubled its production capacity with the addition of a second Continuous Casting Line and a Pickling Line to its facilities.

In 2006 ACB became part of the ArcelorMittal Group and in November 2007 Acería Compacta de Bizkaia changed officially its name to ArcelorMittal Sestao.
