Integrated Management System (IMS)
The Health and Safety of employees, the protection of the Environment and Quality management of our process and therefore of the products we manufacture, are a very relevant part of the objectives of the organisation.
That is why, on our journey towards Industrial Excellence, we have decided to certify voluntarily our:
- Management System on Health and Safety in the Workplace according to requirements OHSAS 18001 since 2003
- Environmental Management System according to ISO 14001 since 2001
- Quality Management System in accordance with the ISO 9001 standard since 1998, and ISO/TS 16949 since 2007
We have also adhered to the EMAS (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme) European Regulations since 2003, and the Quality Management System complies with the requirements for the CE Marking for coils since June 2006, the quality is included in the regulations on structural materials according to UNE-EN 10025-1.
In the search for tools that will help us promoting a model of Sustainability, we have been committed since 2003 to the integration of all of them into one Management System, our IMS (Integrated Management System).
This group consists of all the People in the Organisation, who are fundamental driving forces of the project, as well as the Documents, Resources and Processes necessary for the effective and efficient Management of Health and Safety management, on the Environment and Quality.
The IMS has been established to meet the expectations efficiently regarding quality of clients, to embody our commitment to continuous improvement and to comply with applicable legislation and regulations on Health and Safety management, Environmental and Product matters, and to act as a preventative element to problems that may occur. For ArcelorMittal Sestao, the Integrated Management System is not an end in itself, but a means to obtain the best quality in our products and services, without safety risks and guaranteeing minimum environmental impact.
