Steels for Cold Forming and Drawing
The steels that belong to this group (DD11, DD12, DD13) are designed to offer excellent performance in cold forming applications. They are used for cold forming and deep drawing when high resistance is not required.
They are used in the automotive industry, for forming and drawing, for the manufacture of machinery, in construction, etc.
CHARACTERISTICS:
- Chemical composition and mechanical characteristics as per EN 10111.
- Low presence of free nitrogen, to avoid aging of the material.
- Mechanical isotropic characteristics.
- Fine grain to enable forming and to prevent the appearance of the defect known as “orange peel”.
