Dual Phase Steels
These are steels with a low carbon level and a dual phase structure (ferrite-martensite) combined in an ideal way, extraordinary hardness due to the martensite phase and high formability due to the ferrite phase.
They are mainly used in the automotive industry (internal parts in car chassis, reinforcements, etc.).
CHARACTERISTICS:
- Good relation between forming / resistance at high strains.
- Low Re/Rm levels.
- High resistance to fatigue.
- High and uniform elongation.
- Re maintained up to very high strains
