The development of an improved GU hot rolled sheet pile produced in Dabrowa, Poland, was triggered by the amazing success of the existing GU 600 range in new markets.

Major development was to modify the interlock shape such to become fully compliant with the ArcelorMittal LARSSEN interlock already produced in the sheet pile rolling mills in Belval and Rodange, Luxembourg.

A second improvement was to optimize the steel thicknesses of the new sections for higher efficiency in the section modulus range range of 600 - 800 cm³/m.

The new GU N and GU S sections have already been rolled, and replace the existing GU 600 range from beginning of June 2009 on. They are available in lengths up to 22.0 m as double piles, respectively 24.0 m as single piles, in steel grades up to S 355 GP. Le succès des palplanches GU-600, boosté par l'ouverture de nouveaux marchés, a conduit le site de Dabrowa (Pologne) à développer une palplanche GU encore plus compétitive.

La principale modification consiste à modifier la géométrie des serrures de telle sorte qu'elles soient compatibles aux serrures de type "Larssen" des palplanches produites dans les laminoirs d'ArcelorMittal de Belval et Rodange (Luxembourg).

La seconde amélioration porte sur l'optimisation de l'épaisseur d'acier de ces nouvelles palplanches, permettant d'atteindre des modules de flexion élastique allant de 600 à 800 cm³/m.

Les nouvelles GU-N et GU-S remplacent les GU-600 existantes depuis le début du mois de juin 2009. Elles sont laminées dans des longueurs jusqu'à 22 m en palplanches doubles et 24 m en palplanches simples, pour les nuances d'acier jusqu'à S 355 GP.

Dem fantastischen Erfolg unserer bestehenden GU-600-Reihe aus Dabrowa, Polen, besonders in neuen Märkten, folgt nun eine weitere Verbesserung dieser warmgewalzten Spundwandprofile.

Oberstes Ziel war hierbei die Form der Schlösser an die Schlossgeometrie der ArcelorMittal LARSSEN-Schlösser anzupassen, die in den Werken Belval und Rodange, Luxemburg, hergestellt werden, und absolute Konformität zu erreichen.

Als zweiter Fortschritt wurde durch eine Modifizierung der Wandstärken die Effizienz der Bohlen im Widerstandsmomentenbereich von 600 - 800 cm³/m erhöht.

Erste Walzungen der neuen GU-N und GU-S Profile haben bereits statt gefunden. Die neuen Profile ersetzen die vorhandene GU-600-Reihe ab Juni 2009. Sie sind als Doppelbohle bis zu einer Länge von 22,0 m lieferbar, als Einzelbohlen bis zu 24,0 m. Standardmäßig werden Stahlgüten bis zu S 355 GP erreicht. Il successo delle palancole GU-600, potenziato dall’apertura di nuovi mercati, ha portato l’acciaieria di Dadrowa (Pologna) a sviluppare una palancola GU ancora più competitiva.

La variazione principale consiste nel modificare la geometria dei giunti in modo da essere compatibili con i giunti di tipo “Larssen” delle palancole prodotte nell’acciaierie di ArcelorMittal di Belval e Rodange (Lussemburgo).

Il secondo miglioramento riguarda ottimizzazione dello spessore dell’acciaio di queste nuove palancole, ottenendo dei moduli di resistenza elastica che vanno da 600 a 800 cm³/m.

Le nuove GU-N e GU-S sostituiscono le GU-600 esistenti dall’inizio del mese di giugno 2009. Vengono laminate in lunghezze fino a 22 m in palancole doppie e 24 m in palancole semplici, con qualità dell’acciaio fino a S355GP.
