In 2007 a group of local investors decided to start working on the project "Marina Pez Vela". The 308 slip marina will feature one of the most  sophisticated breakwaters ever built for a recreational marina, providing a safe harbour and hurricane protection.

After its revamp in 2007, the rolling mill in Rodange managed to launch successfully the new PU-R range in 2008, starting in March with the PU 8R, then in June rolling the PU 10R, and later in September the PU 14R.

The railway company is currently rehabilitating the train station at ‘Belval – Mill’ in Luxembourg. Steel sheet piles have once again been chosen as a retaining wall for the new quay structure.

Rolling of the PU 8R, the first sheet pile of the new PU-R range, took place in March 2008, and the first sheet piles have already been supplied.

The first rollings of a new steel sheet pile section are always a challenge for a mill, especially after a revamp.

Our company has been through a number of changes in these last years. For instance, new sheet pile sections were introduced, older sections were removed from our rolling program...

We announced in 2007 that we were developing a more cost-effective HZ combined wall system

ArcelorMittal is striving to match its offer to the requirements of its professional partners, and the latest proof of this success is the high demand for the AZ 38-700 sheet pile section.

A few weeks ago, we announced the future range of PU-R steel sheet pile sections that are intended to replace the low-end range PU sections. The new PU 7R and PU 10R will be rolled beginning of 2008. PU 14R will be introduced after those two sections: availability mid 2008.

ArcelorMittal assessed years ago that the introduction of its new sections, combined with the efforts to develop new markets and new applications, would lead to a significant increase of steel sheet pile demand. The first step was to dedicate its Mill 2 in Esch-Belval exclusively to the production of steel sheet piles

Due to the huge success of the AU-series and more particularly the AU 16, the production of the PU 16 will be stopped at the end of the year. The AU 16 with its weight advantage of 8 % and its increased width will be his substitute.

Due to the tremendous success of AU 20, production of PU 20 will be stopped by the end of this year. PU 20 will then be replaced by AU 20.
