As of January 25, 2011, the Stainless Steel and Specialty branch of ArcelorMittal became Aperam. This new company has approximately 10,000 employees worldwide, mainly in Europe and South America. Aperam is now an independent group from ArcelorMittal. Aperam is listed on several stock markets, including Paris and Amsterdam.
