Located in the birthplace of alloys, the Imphy plant is renowned for its expert ability to take the needs of its customers and translate these into a manufacturing reality, from the design through to the final transformation stage. The Imphy site concentrates on the means for development, transformation and research which are structured around:
- an electric arc and vacuum induction steelworks equipped with a 30 tonne furnace and a 12 tonne vacuum induction furnace, refining stands and remelting furnaces;
- a cold-rolling unit equipped with cold-rolling blooming and finishing mills, heat treatment furnaces, bonding and electron beam welding lines, and finishing tools;
- a hot-rolling unit equipped with cogging mill, grinding machines, a performing wire rods rolling mill, heat treatment furnaces, pickling line and two shaving and peeling machines;
