Solar Energy
During the coming 50 years, energy supply will be the major problem facing international leaders. New technologies must be developed to replace current polluting energy sources that will soon be exhausted.
The French authorities have understood the merits of developing these technologies.
Following the French environmental summit, an action plan revolving around three dates has been introduced:
- In 2010, the objective is for a third of buildings to have low consumption or be energy-neutral or energy-positive.
- In 2012, all new buildings must have low consumption
- In 2020, all new buildings must be energy-neutral or energy-positive. In the face of these new requirements, renewable energies are expanding appreciably.
It is in this context that ArcelorMittal Stainless and Nickel Alloys is expanding in the photovoltaic market and has developped a range of products " Solarstyl® ".
