Suspension Structures / Assemblies / Components

Automotive Components can provide:

1- High volume, steel and high strength low alloy steel (HSLS) engineering design and production experience for front and rear suspension structures and components.

2- Dedicated production and engineering (design and testing) resources focused on front and rear suspension modules and components (control arms, bushings, lateral links, struts, tubular sway bars, tubular members, etc.)

3- A fully integrated supply source, including tube fabrication and the value add manufacturing processes.

4- Finite Element Analysis (FEA) design and analysis along with physical testing of suspension components and modules.

5- Experience in achieving mass savings and increased stiffness, thus accomplishing NVH optimization.

6- Minimization of the stamping content and realization of component and weld reduction.

7- Closed section (tubular) solutions designed to increase strength and accomplish mass savings over the typical stamped designs.

8- Component attachments that are easily facilitated, including die hole piercing, flow drilling, clinch nuts, resistance welding of fasteners, etc.

9- Hydroforming capabilities.

10- A MultiWall™ T3 solution achieving additional mass savings.

11- MultiWall™ T3 suspension structures with heavier sections where brackets are welded to the suspension structure.

12- Desired section strength to meet crash and component load requirements through MultiWall™ technology.

13- Tubular designs that provide ongoing flexibility for change with minimal investment.

MultiWall T3™ Tunable Tube Technology Available

1- MultiWall T3™ process allows a variable wall thickness to along the length of the tube.

2- Aluminum mass at steel costs.
